Heath R. Ducheneaux is of the LeBeau/Ducheneaux tiospayes on the Wakpa Waste Oyanke, known as the Cheyenne River Reservation in north central South Dakota. He comes from the Blackfoot community and currently resides in the Pejuta Haka district of the Pine Ridge Reservation with his hasani and their children.
